Looking for that Rainbow

Hi Everyone,

No, not Dorothy,Toto or ruby slippers, but it is the new challenge over at MayzyArts. This is a fun challenge. I am guessing we are going to see plenty of rainbow this spring around my way. We sure are getting the rain.

Today I bring you a card made with Mayzy's first stamp she drew. Yup, Meri. She is what started it all.

The optional theme is Rainbow. Just think of all you can do with that. And Mayzy has some amazing images that could land you bigger prizes if you are using her image for your entry.

I just loved the verse. I was so happy when I found the paper as well. After that I colored Meri with my Copic to match everything.

I added different  color and sizes of pearls to represent "rain" drops reflecting the rainbow.

The image and mat were cut with my Cameo.
I hope you will join us over at MayzyArts

Studio Redo

Hello Again,

I know if you follow my blog you are going to say didn't she just do this. Well yes and no. I moved my studio from our finished basement to a spare room we had on our second floor back in the fall. It really was only a part of a  move because I still had a lot of stuff in the basement studio. Over the past couple of months I have been trying to go through my stash of crafting items and weed out what just need to be chucked and what might come upstairs with me.

Ok, it has always been in the back of my mind that I wish I could see some of this stuff and then someone else may get use out of it. Up until recently when my friend Kim told me about a couple of Facebook pages of people like me having lots of stuff to want to find good homes for as well as many will to provide that good home I just didn't know how I was going to do this. OK, a month as just about gone by and I have been really selling a lot of stuff on the Facebook sites.  So I move a couple of old pieces of furniture that just were not functional for the storage I needed. Can you smell a shopping trip? LOL

Yes, after some back and forth about what I wanted to get I have found what I needed and wanted. Below are picture of the new furniture and my now cleanup and organized studio. And yes I still have tons to still sell but it is not in my room with me now.

This shot is a little dark but this is my room as you enter it. Straight ahead are two new pieces I purchased. I have also rearranged the placement of my desk. I never would have thought it would have made this big of a difference but I feel like the room is now even bigger.

This is a shot of my desk with my computer credenza behind it. It is were my Cameo is located.

And the tall cabinet to match the other pieces is new as well.

My closet got a much needed make over or de-clutter to be more on the money. :-)

I have everything within a good reaching distance and a nice about it is all of light in the closet so I can see the colors of the inks and papers.

This is another angle of the closet and yes there is an empty shelf and no Colleen I am not filling it up with new goodies. I am going to go on that old saying buy something new get rid of something old. I see if that works LOL

Here is my new large cabinet with lots of stuff in there. And I still have room for some more things.
This cabinet is really great at how it has storage on the door. It fit my Copic refill storage beautifully among other things.

Now this new cabinet is the new home of my papers and paper pads. I cleaned a bunch of paper pads out and will be selling them as well. I had way too much stuff. LOL

And this one is holding all of my unmounted stamps and this will get a few more boxes in there when I get around to unmounted the wood mounted stamps that I want to keep or didn't sell. But putting them in the CD/DVD cases really work well and take up so much less room.

As you can see I really did redo a good bit. There was times yesterday that I didn't think I would ever find my floor again but it all came together and I really think it is going to work out very well for myself and my creativity. So getting my room in better shape and selling a lot of stuff CHECK, Opening Etsy store CHECK
Hummm what next. LOL

Now back to creating again.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my new and improved studio. Have a great weekend.

Sweet Spring Time

Hello everyone,

I am a day late at posting this. I have a good reason. I will be putting another blog post up regarding that and explaining.

But I have here today with a card for The Copic/Promarker team on The Outlawz. This is the last week for our sponsor Whimsy stamps.

My card today is made using an image by Sassy Cheryl's. I have really been getting into her images. There is just something fun and perky about them.

I have colored with my Copics. I used my Copic Air brush to color the ribbon. The papers are from my stash.

The image and image mat is cut out with my trusty Cameo.

I broke out the $1 stamp Hello Friend. Gosh I wish I could find another one of these because a friend of mine would love one.

Her bow and little butterfly has a bit of stickles on them.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Dots Everywhere

Hello Everyone,

It's Tuesday and that means a new challenge over at Through the Craft Room Door.

This week our sponsor is none other than Rusty from Oozak

My card is made using this super fun image from Sassy Cheryl's. Can you just see this being the Dad just embarrassing that pre teen at a birthday party. Hee heee.... always the life of the party.

He is colored with my Copics.
The papers I chose were some digital from Sherry K and some other scraps that I had. I wanted to stay with the polka dots to match his shorts.

Added the pearls to add to the "dot" theme of the card.

I hope you will come on over and join us for the challenge. And don't forget a couple more weeks and the new issue will be out. And it will be loaded with lots of fun projects, inspiration and tutorials. Oh don't forget the digi's that come with it.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

POPCORN YUM

Well hello there, what a week. Hope everyone is doing well.

I am here today with a card for the new challenge over at the The Outlawz CPC team. The theme this week is food. Ok so popcorn isn't really one of the "food" groups but it is yummy.
The sponsor this month is Whimsy Stamps

My image is by Karen Doodles. I have colored the cute kiddies out for the show with my Copics.
I have added some fun embellishments I have cut with my Cameo. The movie camera and the film strip. The tickets are made from a Paper Trey Ink stamp and die.

Can't you just hear the crunching of popcorn and slurpping of the drinks. Not to mention the smell of that butter. LOL Hungry yet? Good now find those fun images that you have that is food related.

The paper is a digital paper that was a freebie from TLC. Worked perfect for this card.

I also wanted to give you a heads up on something special that our newest DT member Jen is doing. If you don't know her she is a digi artist as well as a crafter. She is from South Africa and has drawn a special digi image Teardrops in sympathy for all of those that have been effected by the Boston bombing. The digital image is available here at Digi4Joy   it is a free image through April 22nd. They ask anyone that is able to, to consider a donation to the many fundraiser that are set up for the helping the Boston victims.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will join us with the challenge and if you decide you would like the image stop over and give a hand to Jen for doing this special image for some very special people.

Grow your mind.

Hello Everyone,

I think spring has sprung here. Also the pollen. LOL It is all good though I have to say I was tired of winter this year.

I am here today with a new challenge over at Mayzy's blog. The theme this time around is Grow. Wait till you see my fellow DTeam mates creations. WOW. Mayzy's has made a few changes to the challenge to make it easier and fair for everyone. Please make sure you check out the changes. Plus the prizes have gotten even better it that was possible.

Just a hint Mayzy has some more new images coming out very soon. She has been working hard and bringing some more fun for us to color and create with . Did you know she has a suggestion "box". Make sure if you have something in mind put it in there. She loves it and I can tell you she does listen.

Ok on to my card.

This is High School Hailey. When I saw this image the first thing that popped into my head was Grow your Mind. I just remember that saying from way back. And then I thought of my little toothpick pencils. If you want to know how to make these my video I did for them will be at the bottom of the post.

I have colored her with my Copics. She as well as the mat behind her is cut out using my Cameo. I created the verse in the Cameo software as well.

The lined school paper is by Jillibean Soup and it is in there Sweet and Sour Soup pad. Not sure why it's call Sweet and Sour but what ever floats their boat. LOL

I hope you will join us for the challenge this week.I think it will be fun to see what everyone comes up with for the GROW theme.

Oh don't forget to check out what Mayzy posted on how to "age" her stamps. Very cool.

Sewing Fairy

Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well. I am here today with the new challenge over at The Outlawz Copic/Promarker Challenge. Yes it's that time again and today theme is Winged Things.

Humm that could be some interesting things.

We also have a new DT member with us now. Many of you in blog land may know her Jen Leeflang. She is a very talented card maker as well a digi artist. She is also does beautiful bead/sequin work on costumes. Hope you will stop over and welcome her to the team.

Mine is a cute sewing fairy from Beansie Doodles Etsy shop. Oh and guess what she is have a spring sale right now. So check out some of the new images she has added.

I have colored this cutie with my copic. I added the little colorful ribbon just because I thought it was cute.

The verse is from Stampin up as is the punches used with it. I am so sorry I didn't write down who the paper was from and cannot fine the paper pad at the moment. See what getting old does to you. LOL I used my scalloped circles dies to cut the orange and black papers.

I hope you will join us over at The Outlawz CPC Challenge this week.

Also don't forget about TTCRD magazine. Lots of fun stuff already coming in for the next issue. Not subscribed Click HERE.

Mine all Mine, Yummy

Hello Everyone,

Hope this Tuesday finds everyone well. So far it is a beautiful day here. Going to open the windows soon as it is warming up for a bit today and tomorrow. What a little sunshine won't do for you. :-)

Today I bring you another challenge over at Through the Craft Room Door.

Yes it is an Anything Goes challenge but with rules. Please follow the rules. We don't want to have to remove your entry. Thanks, Ok enough on the PSA.

This weeks challenge is sponsored by Squigglefly. My image is by the artist Cheryl Adler. Isn't she a cutie.

I created this card mostly using my Silhouette Cameo. All but coloring the image. I have made a cut file into a print only file and designed the card completely with the Cameo. I will be a video tutorial in the next issue of the magazine on how to do this along with others in future issues. If you are not a subscriber click HERE

I have colored this little cutie with my copics and added a bit of stickles to the cupcake icing. I love the way she looks like she is saying "Mine all Mine"

Stamp/Paper Arts Show

Happy Sunday,

Well we went to the stamp/paper arts show yesterday and had an real blast.

Oh and yes I got lots of goodies. But I didn't go overboard. Lets put it this way my friend Lorea and I were able to carry our bags without assistants. LOL But that is not to say they were not full. Below are some pictures of my finds at the show. Although there was that "new must have item" here it goes.  I split the pictures up so you can see the items better.

The big roll is double sided adhesive for some projects that were being demo'd by Sweet Stamps. They were there last year but had run out when I went to purchase so I made sure I got there as soon as we arrived. Also there are Candy Mini's there are like the tops of brads but you don't have to poke through the paper.  I also purchased some small packages of brads. Some detailed white embossing powder. Also some AIG Glitz. Can't wait to try that. Also picked up some more glaze pens. I love those things

The three small packs are a type of glitter paper but does not drop glitter. It is thinner and they did some amazing dry embossing on it. Looking forward to trying that out. The one paper pack is texture papers by Core'dinations and the other is a beautiful pad by Dorcrafts Papermania Lucy Cromwell. It has 24 sheet that are double sided and 24 sheet that are glitter. Very pretty. I picked up an extra 6x6 score buddy mat . I think these are the best cutting mats out there

Now on to the stamps. The two that a frames are from Just for Fun there stamps like this are really fun because you can purchase the template to assist with creating some really cool stuff. The two large verse sets are also by them. Lots of stamps in those packs. The Halloween one is by Art Gone Wild there stuff is always so fun. And the dotted stamp Lorea gave to me as a gift I can't wait to try that one the samples they had there they used it in so many different ways.

And last by not least of course a little ribbon. A booth there had them 2 for a dollar. I was good and only got 4 because I surely didn't need it LOL

Of course this show is at the beach the venue right on the beach so we had lunch to the crash of the wave so peaceful then on our way home we stopped for a now traditional dinner of pulled chicken and pork. Yummmmm. All together it was a fantastic day and I can tell you was so tired when I got home. When I went to bed I sleep very sound.

Ok thought I would share my little haul from the show.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
